Singapore Wedding Photography Pricing Guide: What Should You Actually Pay?
August 21, 2026 · Updated August 21, 2026
How much does a wedding photographer cost in Singapore? We compare published rates from actual photographers and explain what affects pricing, what packages include and what couples should check before booking.

1. How Much Does Wedding Photography Cost in Singapore?
If you've started looking for a wedding photographer in Singapore, you've probably realised that prices are all over the place.
One photographer might quote below S$1,500 while another charges S$3,000 or more for what initially looks like the same thing: one photographer covering your wedding day.
Based on publicly listed rates we checked in August 2026, here are some real examples:
| Photographer / Studio | Published Actual-Day Rate |
|---|---|
| Rainstar Photography | S$900 for 10 hours |
| BV Wedding | S$1,199 promotional rate for 8 hours, U.P. S$1,399 |
| Bokelicious Photography | S$1,688 for 10 hours |
| Renatus | S$2,000 for 8 hours / S$2,400 for 10 hours |
| Equarius Photography | S$2,600 for up to 10 hours |
| Hearted Moments | S$2,900 for 10 hours |
These aren't estimates. They're published rates from the respective businesses at the time of writing. ([Rainstar's Photography][1])
That gives you a useful idea of just how wide the market can be.
A broader 2026 analysis by Vows.sg of more than 50 photographers reports that many couples spend around S$2,500 to S$5,000 on wedding photography, while the wider market stretches from basic ROM coverage to premium full-day services costing considerably more. ([Vows.sg][2])
But don't immediately assume that a S$1,200 photographer is cheap or that a S$3,000 photographer is expensive.
The number of hours is only one part of what you're paying for.
2. ROM, Actual-Day and Pre-Wedding Photography Are Priced Differently
Before comparing prices, make sure you're actually comparing the same type of photography.
For a simple ROM or solemnisation, you might only need a photographer for one to three hours. Rainstar, for example, lists ROM photography at S$200 for one hour and S$300 for two hours, while Bokelicious lists two-hour ROM coverage at S$388. ([Rainstar's Photography][1])
Actual-day weddings are different.
A traditional Singapore wedding can involve morning preparations, gatecrash, tea ceremonies, travelling between homes, an outdoor shoot, solemnisation and finally a lunch or dinner banquet.
That can easily require 8 to 10 hours of photography coverage, sometimes spread across an even longer day.
Pre-wedding photography is another category altogether. Pricing may include more than the photographer. Bridal studio packages can bundle gowns, suits, makeup, hairstyling, albums and locations together with the shoot.
For example, La Belle Couture lists pre-wedding packages from S$2,250 to S$3,250 including gown and suit rental plus hairstyling and makeup, while Equarius Photography lists a photography-focused local pre-wedding shoot at S$880 for up to four hours. ([My Bridal Room][3])
So when someone tells you:
“My photographer only cost $1,500.”
That number means very little without knowing what they actually booked.
Always compare coverage and deliverables, not just the final price.
3. Why Can Two Wedding Photographers Charge Completely Different Prices?
Wedding photography isn't a standardised product.
Two photographers can both offer “10 hours of actual-day photography” while providing completely different experiences and results.
Pricing can be affected by:
- Photographer's experience and demand
- Photography and editing style
- Number of photographers
- Number of coverage hours
- Split-day arrangements
- Same-day photo slideshows
- Number of edited photographs
- Turnaround time
- Albums and prints
- Previews or express delivery
- Travel requirements
- Early-morning or late-night coverage
Even additional hours vary between vendors.
Bokelicious lists additional coverage at S$150 per hour, while Our Wedding Story lists additional photography at S$200 per hour for its photo-video collaboration packages. ([bokelicious.com][4])
This is why comparing photographers purely by asking “How much for 10 hours?” can be misleading.
You're also paying for the photographer's ability to anticipate moments, manage large families, work under unpredictable lighting, keep a wedding running smoothly and consistently produce photographs in the style you hired them for.
Your photographer may spend 10 hours at your wedding, but their work doesn't end when the banquet does.
They still need to back up, select, edit, export and deliver hundreds of photographs afterwards.
When comparing photographers, ask yourself:
“Do I actually like this photographer's work enough to pay their price?”
Not:
“Who gives me the most photos for the least money?”
4. Check What's Actually Included Before Comparing Packages
This is where couples can accidentally compare apples with oranges.
Imagine Photographer A charges S$1,800 while Photographer B charges S$2,300.
Photographer A looks S$500 cheaper.
But Photographer B might include longer coverage, a same-day slideshow, faster delivery or additional services that Photographer A charges separately for.
Before comparing quotations, check:
- Number of photography hours
- One photographer or multiple photographers
- Continuous or split-day coverage
- Additional-hour rate
- Number of edited photos
- Whether all usable photos are returned
- Editing and retouching included
- Same-day slideshow included
- Preview photos included
- Expected delivery timeline
- Online gallery or download delivery
- Albums or prints included
- Transport or parking charges
- Early-morning or late-night surcharges
- GST included or excluded
- Deposit and cancellation terms
Published packages demonstrate how different the inclusions can be.
Bokelicious' S$1,688 package lists 10 hours of coverage, unlimited photographs, digital enhancement, high-resolution delivery and morning express highlights. Hearted Moments' S$2,900 package lists 10 hours with a certified professional photographer, high-resolution delivery within six weeks and cloud photo storage. ([bokelicious.com][4])
Neither comparison automatically tells you which is “better”.
It tells you what questions you need to ask.
Create a shortlist based on photography style first. Then compare the packages of photographers you would genuinely be happy to hire.
5. How Much Should You Budget for Your Wedding Photographer?
There isn't one correct wedding photography budget for every Singapore couple.
Based on the published examples above, you can find full actual-day coverage below S$2,000, while established photographers and higher-tier packages commonly move into the S$2,000 to S$3,000+ range. Broader market guides also show that premium services can go substantially higher. ([Rainstar's Photography][1])
Instead of starting with:
“What's the cheapest photographer we can find?”
Start by deciding how important photography is to both of you.
If photographs are one of your highest priorities, allocating more of your wedding budget towards a photographer whose work you genuinely love may make sense.
If photography is less important and you mainly want straightforward documentation of the day, you may be perfectly happy with a simpler package.
And don't book based on Instagram highlights alone.
Ask to see complete wedding galleries where possible.
A photographer's Instagram might show their best 50 photographs from an entire year. A full gallery shows you how consistently they photograph the less glamorous parts of an actual wedding: family photos, tea ceremonies, banquet tables, dark ballrooms and everything happening between the big moments.
Finally, confirm the exact photographer who will be shooting your wedding. Some studios operate with multiple photographers, so the portfolio that attracted you may not necessarily represent the person assigned to your wedding.
Price should help you narrow down your options, but it shouldn't be the only reason you choose your photographer.
The better question isn't:
“How much should wedding photography cost?”
It's:
“For the budget we're comfortable with, which photographer's work, package and experience give us the most confidence?”
Pricing references were checked in August 2026 and may change. Always confirm current rates, inclusions, surcharges and availability directly with the photographer before booking.
